Our New Fee Structure: Simple, Transparent, and Consistent
For the first time since 2017, we’ve updated our fee structure to keep things simple, transparent, and consistent across all the insurance advice and services we provide.
Insurance and the work that goes into arranging and managing policies has changed significantly over the past decade. To continue delivering high‑quality advice, strong claims support, and a seamless experience, we’ve refreshed our fees to ensure they remain fair and aligned with the level of service required.
What’s Changing?
Our new fee structure is based on straightforward, flat fees depending on the type of policy:
$20 – Standard Domestic Policies
This includes everyday personal insurance like vehicles, contents, boats, and travel. Simple, consistent, and easy to understand.
$30 – Policies that include a House
For home, rental property, or home + contents policies. These require more work to arrange and manage.
$50 – Business Insurance Policies
For standard commercial covers such as liability, property, cyber, and business travel. This supports the extra analysis and insurer engagement required.
$100+ – Complex or Multi‑Policy Business Programmes
For large or specialised businesses, fleets, or bundled programmes. These involve additional time, coordination, and expertise. Final fees are set relative to the complexity involved.
What Isn’t Changing?
Our advice remains focused on what’s best for you.
We still receive the majority of our remuneration through insurer commissions, which we always disclose.
Your adviser will always tell you the exact fee upfront, before any cover is placed.
Our commitment to strong advocacy particularly at claim time remains unchanged.
Why We Updated Our Fees
This update allows us to continue providing: quality advice and personalised recommendations, ongoing servicing and annual reviews, advocacy and support at claim time, a consistent client experience across New Zealand.
